Rector: Rev. Preston Gordon

Preston grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. He worshiped weekly in a large Pentecostal church and was saved by the grace of Jesus Christ in children’s church at age 5. Preston studied business and organizational design at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He then moved to Jackson, Wyoming to pursue deep powder and the great outdoors. He also wanted to explore serving in the church. Preston served in youth and young adult ministry at the Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole for several years. He also met his wife, Deanna, in Jackson and they were married in 2013.

The Gordons immediately moved to Vancouver, BC to study at Regent College. They were introduced to Anglicanism in Vancouver, joining a new church plant, St. Peter’s Fireside. St. Pete’s became their church home and family for the next 9 years. Preston completed an M.Div and began as associate pastor at St. Peter’s Fireside in 2017, and was ordained as a priest in the ACNA in 2019.

Preston’s core values are integrity, community, growth, compassion, & courage. He loves adventuring in the outdoors (in any season) and introducing his two boys to God’s wonderful creation. He also enjoys  biking, gardening, and athletics of any kind (except hockey). Preston summarizes his personal vocation as: Breathe oxygen. Receive grace. Go at Godspeed.
