Welcome to All Saints

Yes, we believe we are all saints.  Not because of who we are. Not because of what we’ve done. Not because we think we are better.  Quite the opposite:

We sin, and need a savior.  We fail, and desire strength.  We mourn, and look for comfort.  We are weary, and need rest.

Yet, we are saints. Why? Because of a great mystery.  St. Paul says this mystery was “hidden for ages and generations but is now revealed to his saints.”

What is the mystery? “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:27)

In our weaknesses and failures, we are saints because Jesus Christ is alive in us!  He has given us His Holy Spirit, adopted us as His children, and called us His own. And because of this, we live in hope.  This is our vision as a church: we see Jesus Christ restoring hope.

Hope is not wishful thinking.  Hope is not an opiate for suffering.  Hope is living today like the mystery – Christ in us – is real!  As real as the delicious smell of coffee. As real as the beautiful San Juan mountains in our backyard.  Hope is living as if Jesus Christ did rise from the dead, give us His Spirit, and promise to heal and redeem the world.  Hope is living the gospel of Jesus, in a way that changes today.

It’s quite a journey when Jesus Christ turns you from a sinner to saint, and begins to restore hope in you. But don’t take our word for it: come and see for yourself. You, too, can be a saint.
